How to Clear Your Cache and Reset File Directories (Mac)

THIS HELP DOC IS FOR MAC COMPUTERS ONLY.

Sometimes the easiest way to fix a problem in Muséik is to clear your system of all Muséik related data.

The following procedure will remove Muséik-related data from your hard drive.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN: This process will remove the Library folder. Be sure to move your Show Files, .json files, and any other content in the Library folder you wish to keep to your Desktop before running the script below.

1. Download the file attached below, which contains the reset script, to your Downloads folder.
2. Open Terminal.
3. Type: cd
4. Add a space and then drag your Downloads folder into Terminal. Hit RETURN.
5. Type: ls and hit RETURN. Make sure the reset.sh file shows up in the list of files.
6. Type: "sh reset.sh" and hit RETURN.
If you get an error when attempting to run “sh reset.sh” you likely need to give the script permission to run on your computer. Run the command “chmod 777 reset.sh” to give the script execution privileges.
7. You can verify that the command worked by navigating to the Documents folder in a Finder window. The script should have removed the Museik folder and the Library folder inside of it.
8. Add a new folder in Documents called Museik, then add a new folder in Museik called Library.
9. Move your Show Files, .json files and any other data into the Library folder.
